Grovelands Childcare Ballymahon Road operates a sessional pre-school service for 38 weeks of the year under the ECCE Scheme.
This centre is where the Groveland’s story began. Providing care and early education to families in Athlone for over 31 years. Today, the centre is as warm and welcoming as the first day we opened our doors. It is well maintained and every detail has been built to the highest safety standards.
All our rooms are equipped with developmentally appropriate furnishings. Our activities are warm, bright and inviting, presenting lots of challenges and opportunities for exploration, play and learning. We have dedicated outdoor play space which includes raised beds for planting, a mud kitchen the kids love, and lots of bikes and trikes for fun activities.

Book your ECCE place online today
You can book an ECCE space by making an appointment with the centre manager to have a viewing of the centre and pay your €100 deposit by card on site or you can use our online booking option to secure your place for September 2025.
Terms & Conditions:
ECCE deposits are refunded once your child is fully registered for the ECCE Scheme on the governments Hive platform and receives their ECCE registration number. If your child does not enrol within the first week of the ECCE start date the place will not be held and the deposit is non refundable. Bookings are only valid once all information on the booking form has been completed in full and returned to Grovelands Childcare.
